Oceaneria is led by Monique Smale, an entrepreneur and technology specialist with a background in the IT industry.
The idea for Oceaneria came from a personal experience. Her son, a qualified Mechatronic Engineer, faced real challenges transitioning into the yachting industry as a yacht engineer.
That experience exposed a wider pattern across the market, where employers struggle to find the right crew, and crew struggle to be seen, heard, and placed properly.
With a background in technology, we recognised the opportunity to improve how this industry operates.
